The foundation stone for the construction of a new house for Mr. D.M. Gayan Pradeep, a resident of No. 13/3, Ovala Polwatta, Matale Divisional Secretariat, was laid successfully yesterday, 01st, marking the commencement of the second phase of the program.This event was held under the patronage of the Honorable Minister of Housing, Construction and Water Supply, Mr. Susil Ranasinghe, and with the participation of the Matale District Parliamentarian and Chief Organizer of the Ratthota Electorate, Ms. Deepthi Wasalage.In addition to the Ditwa compensation, the National Housing Development Authority is implementing this housing assistance program, which provides assistance of one million rupees to low-income families who are homeless, very successfully in the Matale district.
Matale Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Sameera Jayaratne, Vice Chairman, Matale District Secretary L. P. Madanayake, Matale Divisional Secretary Harsha Senadheera, as well as the District Manager of the National Housing Development Authority, Technical Services Officers and a group of staff were also present on this occasion.
