Under the patronage of the Minister of Housing, Construction and Water Supply, Susil Ranasinghe, the foundation stone for a new house under the “A Place of One’s Own A Beautiful Life” housing assistance programme implemented by the National Housing Development Authority was laid yesterday (25).With a financial assistance of LKR 1 million and community contribution, the foundation stone was laid for the new house of Mrs. Chandi Ruwanthika, located in Liyanwala Grama Niladhari Division of the Padukka Divisional Secretariat in the Colombo District.The event was attended by Colombo District Member of Parliament Chandana Sooriyarachchi, Homagama Pradeshiya Sabha Member Tilak Malwatta, the Divisional Secretary of Padukka, along with other government officials and local residents.

This event was organized by the staff of the National Housing Development Authority, led by Colombo District Manager Mr. Saman Jayathilaka.
