The official commencement of duties for the year 2026 at the National Housing Development Authority was ceremonially held today (01) at the Authority’s premises under the patronage of its Chairman

 

The official commencement of duties for the year 2026 at the National Housing Development Authority was ceremonially held today (01) at the Authority’s premises under the patronage of its Chairman, Mr. Aravinda Sirinath.The occasion was attended by the General Manager of the Authority, Engineer K. A. Janaka, along with all members of the staff.

Following the hoisting of the National Flag and the singing of the National Anthem, tribute was paid in remembrance of the war heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country, the deceased employees who had served the Authority, as well as those who lost their lives due to the Ditva cyclone. Thereafter, the Public Service Pledge was administered, and official office duties were formally commenced.

On this occasion, public servants pledged to demonstrate the pride of a resilient nation and people who have risen unshaken as one country and one nation under a single flag in the new year that begins today, and to remain steadfast in the face of challenges under the theme, “A Prosperous Country, a Beautiful Life.”Simultaneously, district offices of the National Housing Development Authority also officially commenced duties for 2026 by joining the event via Zoom technology.
