A discussion on formally preparing the government’s program for reconstructing houses destroyed due to the disaster situation caused by the “Ditva” cyclone was held last Saturday (06) at the Mawanella Divisional Secretariat.

Minister of Housing Construction and Water Supply, Dr. Susil Ranasinghe, Minister of Environment, Dr. Dammika Pathiraja, Secretary to the Ministry of Housing Construction and Water Supply, Eng. Kumudulal Bogahawatta, Chairman of the National Housing Development Authority, Aravinda Sirinatha, General Manager Eng. K. A. Janaka, and several other officials participated in this discussion.

During the meeting, attention was drawn to the steps to be taken regarding houses that were damaged due to the disaster, in accordance with the instructions of the President.
