The National Housing Development Authority started its duties in the new year 2023 on January 02 at the main office premises under the chairmanship of the current chairman Mr. Rajive Suriya Arachchi.

There, first with the blessings of the Maha Sangha, Seth Pirith was consecrated and blessed the New Year, after which the entire staff together gave the pledge of public service.

On this occasion, the chairman addressed the staff of the main office and the entire district staff through Zoom technology. In the New Year, the staff of the National Housing Development Authority pointed out that it is the primary responsibility of every employee to welcome the public and perform their duties efficiently and promptly when providing public service. It was mentioned that the year 2022 and the New year 2023 will be a period of many challenges and the Chairman further pointed out the need for all the staff to put aside their differences and work together regardless of party color to overcome these challenges. The Chairman requested the entire staff to wish the new year well, that lack of rich thinking in work life as well as in personal life is the cause of many problems and therefore to work positively with high thinking.
