State Minister Tenuka in a progress review of the National Housing Development Authority..
The progress review meeting of the National Housing Development Authority was held at the ministry premises under the chairmanship of the State Minister of Urban Development and Housing Mr. Tenuka Vidanagamage.
This authority implements various housing programs including "Obata Geyak - Ratata Hetak" housing program, "Mihidu Nivahana" program, Viru Sumithuru program, Siyapatha housing program, Sapiri apartment program and Indian housing assistance program. Here, the officials informed the state minister about the progress of these programs in the year 2022.
The minister also informed about the progress of home loan recovery and last November an amount of 303 million rupees has been received from loan recovery. The minister advised the officials to take immediate measures to increase this amount further.
The officials informed the state minister about the housing programs to be implemented in the next year and future plans.
Ministry of Urban Development and Housing Additional Secretary (Housing and Construction) Keerthi Ranjith Abeysiriwardena, Additional Secretary (Housing) W.M. Ananda, Director General (Programming) Anoma Wijeratne, General Manager of National Housing Development Authority K.A. Mr. Janaka and a group of officials participated in this event.
