Mr. Prasanna Ranatunga, to present freehold deeds to 130 families who had lost their ownership of their flats in the Colombo metropolitan area
On 07/09/2024, at the invitation of the Honorable Urban Development and Housing Minister Mr. Prasanna Ranatunga, to present freehold deeds to 130 families who had lost their ownership of their flats in the Colombo metropolitan area under the program to benefit 50,000 low-income flat owners according to a 2024 budget proposal and held at the Presidential Secretariat under the chairmanship of His Excellency President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
In this program, the beneficiaries of 31 flats in the Colombo district who did not receive freehold ownership received the freehold inheritance of their house.
On this occasion, State Ministers Hon. Tenuka Widanagamage, Hon. Arundika Fernando, President's Chief of Staff Mr. Sagala Ratnayake, Ministry Secretary Mr. Satyananda, National Housing Development Authority Chairman Mr. Rajiv Suriyarachchi and other board members and General Manager Engineer K. Janaka of the National Housing Development Authority. A group of senior officers participated.
